"When I first became homeless, I was struck with terror, a type of terror that almost paralyzed me. But when I came to IHN with my children, I felt like I'd known these people all my life, and that feeling of terror began to ease. I was amazed; I felt comfortable there. I felt like there were people who really cared. It's a feeling that made me want to get up in the morning and get out there and work real hard to accomplish my goals."
- Darryl P., former guest, IHN Northern Kentucky

"IHN works smoothly and joyfully, utilizing volunteer skills and kindness to address one of society's most troubling and heartless issues. Empty church space is transferred into centers of hospitality, and doors are opened to those who have had too many doors shut."
- Reverend Rusty Eidmann-Hicks,
Holmdel Community United Church of Christ, Holmdel, NJ
